“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave himself up for me” (Gal. 2:20).
In this scripture, the apostle Paul is explaining the complete change that one has made, who had been living under the law of Moses, and that he now lives in Christ. However there is a great lesson in this for us today. When we gave our lives to Christ , we made a complete change. We no longer consider ourselves, except as we are willing to submit unto His will. This was the purpose of Jesus coming into this world. He showed us by His example of life and His teaching us what God’s will is for us. He said in John 5:30, “I can of myself do nothing; as I hear and judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not my own will, but the will of Him that sent me.” This He did even to His death upon the cross (Luke 22:39-46). To follow Jesus and be a Christian we must “...present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your spiritual service” (Rom. 12:1).
Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people (John 14:1-3), and as is stated in Rom. 12:2, “...be not fashioned according to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your minds, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
