In order to build up the church we need to depend on the Lord, for Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth” (Matt. 28:18).
We are also told to “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” (Psa. 55:22). Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). Other scriptures that show the might and power of Jesus are Daniel 7:13, Eph. 1:21, Phil. 2:9, 1 Pet. 3:22 and Rev. 17:14.
We must then GO - TEACH - all nations or people, baptizing and teaching them to observe all things commanded by Christ, and He will be with us (Matt. 28:19-20). God has placed the teaching of the gospel with us, those He has added to His church and no others, as the apostle Paul stated, “But we have treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” (2 Cor. 4:7). When we go sow the seed of the kingdom, the word of God, it is God who gives the increase (1 Cor. 3:6). When we preach and teach the word of God, He will be with us and help us over every obstacle which lies in our way. The power is in the word of
God which we teach and preach (Heb. 4:10-15), and we can “come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb. 4:16).
Continue praying and as Jesus said, “Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23). Also let us fill the buses with children eager to learn about Jesus our Savior!
Love you, David V. Fultz
