A CALL TO HEIGHTS
In Psalms 121:1-2, the Psalmist declared, “I will lift up mine eyes
unto the mountains; From whence shall my help come? My help
cometh from Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.”
Last weekend several of the Classics group made the trip to the
Golden Agers Camp at Blue Haven in the Sangri de Cristo mountains
of New Mexico. What a wonderful experience it was as we
enjoyed the fellowship of 64 seniors of those of like precious faith.
We also heard lessons from the books of Hebrews, Romans, Peter
and Jude given by Bro. Paul Shero, lessons that stirred our hearts
and souls.
Blue Haven is a lovely camping facility where about twelve hundred
youthful campers can spend one or two weeks of summer. They are
taught the Bible and practical Christian principles. Delicious meals
are provided and adequate living quarters are also shared by teachers
and students. Many are baptized each summer and all are
builded up in the faith. Make sure your child or grandchild has the
opportunity to attend a Bible camp next summer.
Our joy on the weekend consisted not only of the time we spent at
the Camp, but also with those that we traveled with in the bus. We
talked of family and friends, any many other things which brought
us together in Christian fellowship.
We would encourage everyone of you of the Classics to join us next
August as we plan to go again. Finish reading the 21st Psalm, and
see what God will do for you when you heed the call to the mountains.
We
Love you, David V. Fultz
