GOD’S GREAT LOVE
Jesus said, “If a man love me, he will keep my word; and my
Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make
our abode with him” (John 14:23). The Bible is that inspired
word of God, which we must hear, believe, and obey in order
to be saved and so that He will come and abide with us (2
Tim. 3:16-17).
While it may take a lifetime of study for us to know all that is
in the Bible, His requirements for our salvation and from sin
are not difficult for us to understand and obey. But there are
many who would corrupt the gospel of Christ (2 Cor. 11:3),
by adding to or taking away from the commandments of God.
When we hear of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ,
we must believe what God has revealed concerning it (1 Cor.
15:12-19). Our faith in Him leads us to repent of our sins
(Rom. 10:8:11), then to be buried with Christ in baptism for
the remission or forgiveness of our sins (Rom. 6:1-6; Acts
2:38; and Mark 16:15, 16). We then begin a new life in Christ,
worshipping Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24-26, Acts
2:42). Our life with Christ and God then begins and we daily
walk with them as we are led by the Word, revealed by the
Holy Spirit.
We have been added to His church by God and we are to
live as He directs. He is always there to help us overcome
the power of Satan (1 Cor. 10:13). If you are asking the question
as did the eunuch of Ethiopia, “How can I, except someone
shall guide me(?)” call the church office and someone
will be sent to guide you.
We love you, David V. Fultz
