JESUS IS WITH US

We sometimes forget that the same command Jesus gave to His disciples just before He left them to go back to the Father is a command for us today, also: “Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matt. 28:19, 20).

Christians have this same responsibility today. Not only to see that those about us are taught the gospel, but we have many opportunities to see that the Word is taken into all the world. Numerous means are available to us now, that the apostles did not have, such as television, radio, the printed page, email, by going ourselves on mission trips, and other ways. Some of these on the radio and television are the Search program featuring Mack Lyon, and Key to the Kingdom with Brett McCasland. World Bible School offers lessons to interested ones at home and in foreign countries, to study and then be tested on their lessons, which are sent to capable “teachers” to grade and send back to their students with new lessons and encouragement. You can see Gary and Nelly Lewis, if you are interested in helping in this area. Then there are those who go to do the follow-up work, taking bibles to and baptizing and encouraging those who have been taught. Many missionaries are needed to go and stay to work in the mission fields, and all need our support, financial and otherwise.

We have the responsibility of seeing that everyone in this generation has the gospel taught to them. What will you do, go or give so that someone else can go? Or will you talk to your neighbor about Jesus and His church? Christ will be with you in any way that you can work......We have His word on that! Love you, David V. Fultz
