Why Did Jesus Come To Earth? |

Jesus had always been with God (John 1:1-2). He came to bring light into a world that had been darkened by sin (John 1:4-5).
Every soul is enlightened when he listens to the word of God for “God
is light and in Him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5), and when “we
walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with
another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all
sin” (1 John 1:7).
We then become “the light of the world, a city that
is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put
it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light to all who
are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matt.
5:14-16). This is powerfully and simply put by Jesus, that no one can
misunderstand.
We as Christians are the only true light
in any community as we live and teach the Word of God. Are you a
brightly burning candle that gives the light of God’s word to all who
are about you, or has your light gone out and left only a burned-out blackened log?
Love you, David Fultz
