ARE YOU PREPARED?

Did you know that to most of us it seems that time is passing faster with every day, but it is actually slowing down, and that every so often another second is added to our year?

But don’t worry although this is leap year and a day is added to our calendars every four years. In actual time it will take hundreds of millions of years for there to be an hour more in our day, though your computer, mobil phones, etc. will be calibrated to the exact time as leap seconds come (AP, Lubbock AJ; 12-31-05). However, the apostle Paul spoke of this fast passage of time in Rom. 13:11: “..and this, knowing the season, that already it is time for you to awake out of sleep; for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed. The night is far spent, and the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” May we all be laying up good works, to be rewarded when the Lord comes, rather than thinking we can put off our obedience to Him, and when He comes again we may not be prepared. Please read Matt. 25:14-30 and many other teachings of Jesus. “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my father who is in Heaven” (Matt. 7:21). “Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts as in the day of provocation” (Heb. 3:15). Are you ready for the Lord to come now?
