Rise and Shine
Last Sunday our auditorium was fuller than it has been in
quite some time, thanks to our guests from the Northside
church and others. Many of us had the same thought: “This
is more like normal!” What an encouragement that was! It
has also been quite encouraging to get to know some of our
brothers and sisters from Northside. I’ve already been quite
impressed and inspired by some of their stories. I’m excited
about the possibilities of worshipping and working together
with some of these good brethren.
With our recent additions, we have added some classes
for children on Wednesday night. Of course, there are four
adult classes also: the auditorium class, the singing class in
Room 104 (This is also the Elder’s Conference Room), the
“Great People of the Bible” class in 113 and the “Back to
Basics” class in 111. The auditorium class I am teaching has
begun a study from the Book of Psalms entitled Echoes of A
Godly Heart. We have already looked at an introduction to
the Psalms entitled “Echoes of the Blessed Life” and we’ll
look at “Echoes of God’s Constant Presence” this Wednesday.
Next week we’ll consider “Echoes of a Delivered Life.”
Please see Wayne Hinds for more details about our classes.
As we begin this New Year, we decided to focus on some
Christian basics. In the auditorium on Sunday mornings, we
are looking at “Fundamentals of Faith.” This week we look at
“The Grace of God.” I’ll also be starting a sermon series on
the New Testament church called The House that Jesus Built
starting this Sunday. See you then!
