WE WILL ALL BE JUDGED
Isn’t it wonderful to be a Christian and have the promise
of eternal life with God in Heaven, a place He has
prepared for the faithful (John 14:1-3)? But the sad part
is, that not all people are going there, not even all who
claim to be Christians. Jesus said, “He that rejected me,
and receiveth not my sayings, hath One that judgeth
him; the Word that I spoke, the same shall judge him in
the last day” (John 13:48).
We have all sat in a classroom and been told by the
teacher that we are to be tested on what we have been
taught in that class, and our passing the grade will depend
upon gaining the knowledge and knowing the required
material. This is why it is so important that we,
who have been taught of God, in return, teach it to others
and take heed that we follow it ourselves (Matt.
28:18-20). We are then following Jesus’ example, as
He tells us, this is what God sent Him to do when He
came to this earth, and it is what He did (John 12:49-
50). Many people will not receive the word of God when
they hear it spoken, and will not be saved. It is so important
that we obey the Word because God has given
it for us to live by, and He will judge each of us by how
we have followed it, or lived by it. It is because God
loves us so and wants us all to be saved, that He sent
His Son into the world to die for us, and wants us to live
by the word that He taught (1 Tim. 2:4-7). God wants all
people to come to Him and obey his teachings that we
might all enjoy the blessedness of heaven and escape
the doom of hell.
