Be A Soul Winner
When the Psalmist declared “God is our refuge and
strength, a very present help in the time of trouble,” we
know that God knew that we would all have difficult
times, and He does not expect us to face these alone.
When Jesus sent His disciples into all the world to
preach the gospel to every creature, He told them, “I
am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Matt.
28:20
When we become a Christian we take Jesus into our
hearts and lives and we need Him. He came into this
world with the gospel of love and peace. But the people
rejected Him and crucified Him. He knew they would
reject us, too. Satan is the enemy of all righteousness
and will stop at nothing to turn people away from God.
Remember how Peter thought he had strength within
himself to overcome Satan but failed miserably. Matt.
26:33-35, 69-75. We need the Lord to help us overcome
temptation and to give us courage when we go
out to teach. And it is as important that we teach the
gospel as to obey any other command.
There are going to be many discouraging things along
the way and many will reject the gospel, but Jesus wants
us to know that they are rejecting Him and not us. Even
if we only win one soul, it is worth more than all the
world. Go teach. God will be with you even in times of
trouble.
Love you, David Fultz
