IS IT WORTH IT?
Have you ever been in a place of total or near total
darkness? On occasion I have been in a cave when the
lights were turned out and it is eerie. But as bad as this
physical darkness is, the Bible speaks of that which is
much worse, of which Jesus speaks when He says,
“And cast ye out the unprofitable servant into the outer
darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
(ASV, The KJV says “eternal.”)
This means that one will not only be separated from
God forever in a place of total darkness, but also a place
of suffering. There will be no one to ease the suffering
there. Consider what Jesus said about the rich man and
Lazarus (Luke 16:19:31). God will grant forgiveness to
all who will come to Him now, but when this life is over it
will be too late (Heb. 9:27), “and inasmuch as it is appointed
unto men once to die and after this cometh the
judgment; so Christ, having been once offered to bear
the sins of many shall appear a second time, apart from
sin, to them that wait for Him, unto salvation.”
If you believe in Him now as God’s son (Heb. 11:6), why
not repent of your sins, now, (Luke 13:3), confess Him
before men, (Rom. 10:9-10), and be baptized for the
remission of your sins (Acts 2:38, Rom. 6:3, 4), and live
with Him now and forever (Rev. 2:10). Any elder, deacon,
preacher or member of the Lord’s church will assist
you. And if you were once faithful to Him and are no
longer faithful, won’t you come back to Him?
Is it worth it to spend even one hour away from Him
Who came to save you? God loves you, and so do we.
Love you, David V. Fultz
