ALL THE CHURCHES OF CHRIST SALUTE YOU (Rom. 16:16)

We have been receiving some good lessons recently about the church that Jesus built. We need to be reminded that Jesus built but one church, and how we can identify it today among the multitudes that are in existence. Remember that Jesus said, “I Am the way, the truth and the life, and no onecometh unto the Father but by me” (John 14:6).

BELIEVE AND OBEY

Many people have the idea that just because they read a chapter or two from the Bible each day that they are living and feasting upon the bread of life. That is not necessarily true. In John 6:27-29, Jesus said, “Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of Man shall give unto you: for the Father, even God, hath sealed. They said therefore unto Him, ‘What then must we do, that we may work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.’ “

THE TRUTH THAT MAKES ONE FREE

“..Jesus said to those Jews which believed on Him, ‘If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free’ “ (John 8:31-32).

GOD LOVETH A CHEERFUL GIVER

God Himself is the greatest giver of all. He gave unto us life, breath and all things, temporal and spiritual. Read again the first three chapters of Genesis.
