A CALL TO HEIGHTS
In Psalms 121:1-2, the Psalmist declared, “I will lift up mine eyes
unto the mountains; From whence shall my help come? My help
cometh from Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.”
Last weekend several of the Classics group made the trip to the
Golden Agers Camp at Blue Haven in the Sangri de Cristo mountains
of New Mexico. What a wonderful experience it was as we
enjoyed the fellowship of 64 seniors of those of like precious faith.
We also heard lessons from the books of Hebrews, Romans, Peter
and Jude given by Bro. Paul Shero, lessons that stirred our hearts
and souls.

GOD’S GREAT LOVE
Jesus said, “If a man love me, he will keep my word; and my
Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make
our abode with him” (John 14:23). The Bible is that inspired
word of God, which we must hear, believe, and obey in order
to be saved and so that He will come and abide with us (2
Tim. 3:16-17).

JESUS IS WITH US
We sometimes forget that the same command Jesus gave to His
disciples just before He left them to go back to the Father is a
command for us today, also: “Go ye therefore, and make disciples
of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always,
even to the end of the world” (Matt. 28:19, 20).

In Proverbs 25:11, Solomon declared, “A word fitly spoken is
like apples of gold in network of silver.” No doubt in this statement
Solomon was speaking of God’s Word. There is nothing
that stands out more, in all that is said or written than the
Word of God. The Bible is unique among all the books that
have ever been written.

JESUS WEPT
That Jesus suffered much, there can be no question by any student
of the Bible or of history. However, we have only two instances
where we are told that He wept. One was at the tomb of His friend
Lazarus in John 11:35, and the other when He told what was to
happen to Jerusalem and it’s people at the time that it was to be
destroyed, in Luke 19:11-44 and chapter 13:34-35.
