WHEN GOD SPEAKS
Some years ago, as I conducted a Bible drill with some children, a
little boy looked up at me and asked, “Are you God?” Very humbled,
I assured him I was not, but that I was speaking the Word of God
because it was from His book, the Bible. And then I told him and all
the children that even when the preacher speaks, we should listen
carefully and then examine the scriptures daily to see if what we
heard is so, like the Bereans did in Acts 17:11.

Thank You
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, as well as the love and
care that we felt and tasted in the wonderful meal you prepared for
us.
Margie & Retha Watson and the entire
Rickey Watson family
We all know what a great job Theodore does in
cleaning the building! A biggg thanks is also due to Theodore for
mowing the grounds around the building and weedeating around the
parking lot. AND to Manasas Gauna who came on Monday and
finished mowing the vacant lot west of the parking lot and the ditch
north of the building. It really looks great!!! Thank you guys SO
MUCH!!!
Dear Parkway family,
It was an extremely rich blessing to spend so much time with many
of you as we went to Austin. Friendships and bonds were created
that will last a lifetime and then on into eternity. Thank you for letting
me hitch a ride with you. Thank you to our fearless drivers, Kelvin and
Bobby. You two are awesome. I want to say a special thanks to two
young men who have helped me see a new definition of servant,
Tyrone (Christopher) and David (Barnes). You guys are tops and I am
so blessed to know you. Thank you for all the lugging of luggage,
smiles, hugs and encouragement you gave so freely. Thanks to Sue
and Tim for inviting me to their car and driving around Austin. God is
so good to us and He has blessed me more abundantly than I can
imagine with this trip. I love you all and cherish the memories made.
WIth you in God’s hands, Melody
A biggg thanks to Bobbie Adams, Opal & Debra George who helped
in the kitchen in preparation for the dinner for the Watson family.
They were joined after the funeral by James & Janice Whitehead,
Gene & Nell Dycus & Dexter & Cleeta Carley who also helped in the
kitchen cleanup. Thank you to James & Janice Whitehead who
picked up meat and other supplies from Sam’s; to Gene & Nell Dycus
who picked up the chicken from United (it was ordered on Friday
but it was not ready at 3 p.m. Saturday--so Gene & Nell had to wait
on it). Thank you to all of these and others who have helped at other
times. And thanks to those who provided tossed salads and desserts.
You can always be counted on. --Doris

We want to provide you a church home... a home with family members that
you will find supportive and loving under the leadership and example of
Christ. Here, you will find hands to help you, and opportunities for you to
help others. Here you will find voices to laugh and to sing with; as
well as shoulders to cry on. Here, you will learn more about God,
Christ, His church, and the family he established for us, all in the
example of love that Christ has given to each of us.
VALUES STATEMENT
We are a body of redeemed people who value:
God our Father, Christ our Savior,
The Spirit of Truth, the body of Christ,
the institution of the family,
and the souls of all mankind.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our purpose is to reach out locally and universally
to prepare people of all ages and races to:
worship humbly, evangelize personally,
serve actively, fellowship lovingly,
to the glory of God.
VISION STATEMENT
Our goal is to become a unique church of values, mission
and vision: which effectively ministers to all people; which grows in spirit and love; where every
Christian can serve and worship; where all people are welcome; where our Lord leads and we
follow.
